Faisal Naseem is the Chief Executive Officer of Sooner and a member of company’s Board of Directors since 2016. He served as company’s Vice President of Finance and Process Improvement from 2012 to 2016. Prior to joining Sooner, Mr. Naseem was with Oil States International (NYSE: OIS) where he served in various management roles, most recently as the Chief Information Officer leading the global technology initiatives. He has also held management positions at Stewart & Stevenson and Deloitte. Mr. Naseem started his career as a mechanical engineer in manufacturing industry and transitioned to finance, technology and management roles. He holds BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA; he is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers and holds several certifications in management, finance and technology, including CPA. Mr. Naseem serves on the Board of Chickasaw Distributors Inc.
Joe Phillips II joined Sooner Pipe in June 2005 with the acquisition of Phillips Casing and Tubing, LP by Sooner. Joe serves as President of Sooner. He has more than 20 years experience specializing in developing OCTG programs and facilities construction. Prior to joining Sooner, Phillips served as Executive Vice President for Phillips Casing and Tubing, where he was responsible for sales and all facilities operations. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dorinda J. Barker currently serves as Vice President & Treasurer of Sooner. Barker joined the company in August 1992 as Accounting Manager and more recently served as Vice President & Controller. She has more than 30 years of accounting and financial management experience. Prior to joining Sooner, she worked as an Internal Auditor and Accounting Manager for a division and a subsidiary of Dover Corporation, a diversified manufacturer of industrial products. Barker is a certified public accountant, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tulsa.
Joseph C. Ottaviani is the Vice President, Operations at Sooner and has more than 45 years of experience in OCTG products. In his current position, he oversees the quality systems and all of Sooner’s operations and inventories. His areas of expertise include quality control, quality assurance, inventory control, OCTG pipe maintenance and non-destructive testing. Ottaviani began his career at Babcock & Wilcox as an Inspection Supervisor, and then worked as General Supervisor of Quality Control before joining Sooner in 1989. He wrote and implemented the quality systems at A-Z Terminal and Sooner to specifications set by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the ISO. He graduated from Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Pennsylvania with a degree in radiologic technology.
James E. Dionisio joined Sooner Pipe in February 2016 as a result of the acquisition of MRC Global’s OCTG business and currently serves as Vice President-National Accounts. Prior to the acquisition, Mr. Dionisio served in numerous executive and managerial capacities in the industry, such as, Senior Vice President of Energy Tubular Products for MRC Global, Chief Operating Officer of Red Man Distributors, OCTG manager at Red Man Pipe and Supply, Vice President of Sales with Sheffield Steel Corporation, and Vice President of Sales with CF&I Steel Corporation and Rocky Mountain Steel. He also held a variety of operating and sales positions earlier in his career. Mr. Dionisio received a B.S. in metallurgical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and has also completed executive financial and business course work at Stanford University.
Mike Cullather joined Sooner in 1978 and currently serves as Vice President, Sales Administration. Mike has worked in various Sooner locations throughout his career including stops in Denver, Dallas and Houston. Mike has a wide range of experience which includes inside sales, outside sales solicitation, district sales and office management. He has experience marketing all facets of OCTG for the last 35 years. Mike attended the University of Houston.
Randy Rea currently serves as Director of Inventory Management of Sooner Pipe. Rea joined Sooner in 2007 as Manager of Inventory Utilization. In 2010, Randy accepted the role of Project Manager of Sooner’s ERP development and implementation, and served as the company’s Director of IT Systems Administration. Rea has more than 30 years of experience in OCTG product sales, starting his career at Wilson Supply, where he was responsible for premium thread sales. He served as the Alliance MRO Contract Manager at NOV and General Manager of NetMarc, a subsidiary of National Oilwell. Rea graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Environmental Sciences.
